Topshop Cream Blusher in Afternoon Tea ♥

Hellooooooo!! Tonights post is on the little beauty above I picked up in topshop over the weekend. I have only ever purchased one item from Topshops make-up range before and that was a gold highlighter ages ago. Whilst browsing the make-up stand on the weekend the cream blushers caught my eye and I'm so glad they did. I brought the shade Afternoon Tea which is a bright pink blush, the name alone is just so cute!

How amazingly pink is this, it looks quite frightening in the pan but once applied it gives the most gorgeous flush of colour to the skin. It blends out so beautifully so you don't need to worry about getting 'clown cheeks' which can be so easily done with cream based blushers. Its also really build able so you can just keep applying until you are happy, the results are so lovely and it really does create a natural flush. I apply this using a Real Techniques stippling brush and for me that works perfectly.

The blusher is housed inside the standard cute black and white polka dot Topshop casing and the compact contains a mirror. Below is a swatch of the blusher on my hand unblended and a picture of me wearing it. The staying power is really impressive I forgot to add that in earlier :)

I picked this little beauty up for £6 which I think is really reasonable for such a good quality blush. I will most defiantly be going back in to Topshop to purchase the other shades, I love the formula and how effortlessly they blend in to the skin, I can't believe I haven't tried them sooner shame on me!!

Have you tried any of the Make-up from topshop? What do you think? What are your favourite products I would love to hear your thoughts, so please feel free to leave me your comments or tweet me  over at @tiffsbeautyboxx Thanks for reading girls :) Lots of love xxx

GlossyBox//January 2014 ♥

Good evening lovelies.

I thought I would do a quick post on my January GlossyBox, this is actually going to be my last ever GlossyBox as I have cancelled my subscription. The Boxes have been so lame recently, I was holding out for the Christmas box as I had high hopes that it might be half decent..sweet baby Jesus it was AWFUL. I couldn't even tell you one thing it had in there actually, the only thing I can tell you is it had absolutely NO relevance to Christmas what so ever…what the??? I kept meaning to cancel after Christmas but you know what its like around that time of year a million and one other things on your mind, before I knew it I received an Email saying they were taking Januarys payment…God damn it. Anyways I have now cancelled so here is my last ever GlossyBox post, I would say I feel sad but……I don't.

Doesn't the contents of this just look so drab to you? Maybe I'm being harsh but…BORRRRRING.

Okay so first up we have a Balance Me super toning body wash, Anatomicals under eye patches and a Vaseline essential moisture body lotion. There were only 2 items in the box I was pleased with and these eye patches were one of them I am quite looking forward to trying these I like Anatomicals so I have high hopes.

Next we have 2 small samples of Yu-Be skin cream and some Vintage Cosmetic company tweezers, these were the second things in the box I was pleased with as they are actually really cute and tweezers are always useful. The Yu-Be skin cream from what I can gather is a kind of all round 'miracle' cream that can be used for lots of different things such as dry skin, chapped lips, sun burn, eczema, spilt cuticles and hard heels. Even if I like this cream its japanese so I don't know how easy it will be to repurchase again.

So there was the contents of my last ever GossyBox, do you think I am being harsh or do you think this box just looks boring? I really hate writing negative posts but I do just feel a little let down by GlossyBox. If any of you lovely lot could recommend another beauty box I could subscribe to that would be amazing, if you have reviewed any feel free to leave links in the comment box below or tweet me @tiffsbeautyboxx. Thank you for reading my post :) Loads of Love xxx

Illamasqua - Gleam Highlighter in Aurora ♥

Hello beauties.

I wanted to share with you my gorgeous new highlighter I purchased from Illamasqua. I have always been a fan of Illamasqua I love the look of all their products and just the ethic of the company in general, while I'm singing Illamasqua's praises can I just add their customer loyalty scheme is amazing, on your 3rd order and every order made after your 3rd you receive 10% off all products how brilliant is that? Such a lovely touch. Anyway I must get on and introduce to you the beautiful Aurora….

Aurora is a gorgeous champagne coloured highlighter. It is a solid cream compact with a beautiful iridescent finish. Apologies about my messy finger prints in the compact as soon as I opened it I needed to try it and then I remembered about ze blog ohhhh dear Blogger fail at its best please forgive me :)

This is how Aurora is described on the Illamasqua website: Back by popular demand, and with a new and improved formula, Gleam's lightweight, iridescent finish sensuously highlights the natural beauty of your face and body. A solid, cream compact, containing lustrous pearlescent pigments. Smooth Aurora (champagne iridescent) over skin with fingers or a brush for an alluring glow that lifts and highlights wherever it's applied. This is light-reflecting beauty.

I couldn't agree more it truly does lift the face and provides such a beautiful highlight to any areas you want to accentuate. I have always loved a good highlighter but tend to always stick to powder highlighters as I just thought they were easier to use but I have been converted. This just blends so effortlessly in to the skin and leaves such a natural dewy finish. I have very very dry skin so often struggle to create a dewy finish but with this is so easy and the results are just stunning. I apply this using my fingers, on my cheekbones, nose and cupids bow. I have been using this beauty on all of my clients recently and they have also loved the results. Aurora retails for £18 on the Illamasqua website which for a high end make-up brand is a steal :).

Below is a picture of Aurora blended in to my hand, you can see just on my hand how beautifully it highlights and catches the light.

The first picture is of me wearing Aurora and you can instantly see the highlight along my cheekbones, the second picture is of some make-up I did recently again using Aurora to highlight.

Thank you as always for reading my post. Do you like the look of this highlighter? What are your favourite Illamasqua products? I love to hear your thoughts so please leave me your comments or feel free to tweet me @tiffsbeautyboxx :) Loads of love xxx

Maybelline Baby Skin ♥

Hello Lovlies.

I have been very MIA from the blogging world recently and I'm very sorry :( but I promise I will try my best to start posting regularly again, thank you for staying with me you gorgeous lot :)

Anyway on to todays post which is all about the little beauty below.

As soon as I saw this on the shelves in Boots it immediately caught my eye, every time I went in there I would pick it up then put it down then pick it up again…you get the idea. I kept trying to tell myself I didn't need it but you guessed it, curiosity got the better of me and last Saturday it found its way in to my shopping basket whilst I was having a little wonder round Boots.

Maybelline describe Baby Skin as a Lightweight primer which creates smooth, poreless looking skin. "Pores appear instantly erased for smooth looking skin".

My thoughts

I actually really like this primer, after all the hype surrounding the baby lips I was half expecting to be let down by this product but I wasn't at all I really love it. I have seen a few people say it's a dupe for Benefits Porefessional  but I would have to disagree as apart from the cute packaging they are quite different. I personally think Baby Skin shares more similarities with the Smashbox primer, the texture and the way it feels on the skin are very similar. Baby Skin really does make my skin feel like.. well Babies skin I guess, so soft and smooth and it really does an amazing job of erasing the look of fine lines and pores. It works well as a primer (which was what I was worried about) as my foundation stays the same throughout the day as it does when I wear either my Smashbox primer or my favourite Porefessional primer from Benefit. The packaging is cute and I really like the little nozzle as it dispenses the perfect pea sized amount of product, a little goes along way with this I find. You get 22ml's of product and it retails at £7.99 which I think is very reasonable.

Below are 2 pictures of my hand one with no product applied and another with Baby Skin primer blended in, as you can see from the photos it does a pretty impressive job, it significantly reduces the look of the pores and lines on my hand.

I would definitely recommend this product and I will certainly repurchase when this one has run out. Have you tried this primer? What did you think of it? I would love to hear you thoughts so please leave me your comments or feel free to tweet me at @Tiffsbeautyboxx with your thoughts :) Thanks for reading my lovelies lots of love.
